how to calculate KVA in a single and a three phase system
1. Single phase voltage
KVA = I × V / 1000
Example:
I = 5V=230
KVA =5 I ×230 V / 1000
KVA = 1.15 KVA
2. Three phase voltage
KVA = √3 × I × V / 1000
Example:
I= 5V=415
KVA = √3 × 5I ×415 V / 1000
KVA = 7.1878 KVA
